I nearly died...

when I saw this thing in our house. It crawled out of our laundry basket. It was the worst thing I've seen in a long time. Really, I was shreaking and screaming. It nearly jumped out of the bucket Taylor caught it in. I told Taylor that I thought it was too big to squish and that it belonged in a Zoo, so he walked across the street and let it loose in the Zoo. I hope the rhino eats it.

Since Henry started standing up in his high chair, we decided to start tying him in again, only thing is, he can still stand up and now he thinks he is safe because he is more secure.

And my last bit of excitement is the late mother's day present I received. Our friends have this amazing little contraption called the Donvier Ice Cream Maker. It makes Sorbets, Frozen yogurt, ice cream and more! All without electricity or salt. It's pretty amazing and our friends knew that Taylor was on the lookout for it and found it at a 2nd hand store for $3!!! They cost $54.95 in the stores. All you readers now have one more reason to come visit.

we had that same bug run accross our wall while I was running on the treadmill a few years ago when our treadmill was in the basement. I about died when it ran in front of me and couldnt run again until it was dead! Then a few months later one ran across our kitchen floor and since they are to big for me to comfortably kill, I put a container of lysol wipes on it so Garrett could kill it when he got home. But these gross bugs are much stronger then you'd think and it had escaped!! If I sat on the couch I couldn't put my feet on the ground for days thinking I would step on it!!! Yikes!!!

exact same creature as us (the many legged one- not hank).

So we discovered that "bug" last summer and was told it is a centipede *shudder* I have since come across two and scream bloody murder each time. They are so FAST its ridiculous! I honestly don't know which I abhor more, scorpions or centipedes! By the way, I thought you and Taylor gave excellent talks on Sunday. You both made me cry and I was again reminded of how much I wish I had served a mission!

Laney, we have the same exact bugs. We were told by an exterminator that they are "house centipedes." I absolutely hate..hate..hate them. In the moment I do get the nerve to kill them but not without shrieking the entire time. :-D We were told they are harmless and actually help to keep the house spider free but to be honest I prefer killing a spider than one of these. The exterminator told my husband to spray the basement ceiling and around our dashboards with boric acid? We haven't found any but in the meantime bug spray works just as well if you keep spraying it. :-) Hope this helps! (p.s. these bugs look for humidity and water so if you do find one in your bathtub/shower spray it with scalding hot water it'll kill them instantly. Just running water on it won't help..the little buggers swim well.)

We'll come if you promise to rid your house of those bugs. I don't like those kinds of surprises.

And good job tying Hank down. You show him who's boss.

Isn't that the same thing that Leisy found in her apartment a couple months ago?

I want to try the Donvier ice cream maker! That is awesome.

Ok, so I first read this post like three days ago...and I can't stop thinking about that THING!! What is it?!! I am now terrified that one of them is lurking around me...

I am oh so jealous of your ice cream maker! :P

The ice cream maker reminded me of when we lived at Condo Row and Brittney and I decided to sneak into your apartment and steal the delicious ice cream out of your fridge. Remember how your random roommate that lived there for like 2 weeks was asleep on the couch and thought you were being robbed. That was awesome!
